The cabinet exterior lighting refers to removing the top cover of the display cabinet and sealing it with transparent glass. Then, light fixtures are installed on the ceiling to illuminate the exhibits by shining onto the cabinet directly.
This lighting method makes the space look simple and transparent!
But there are some details that need to be noted:
1.The beam angle of the light fixtures should not be too large, preferably at a small angle, and it is better to have adjustable focus. Because the ceiling is relatively high, the spot becomes larger when the light shines down. If it is not controlled well, the surrounding area of the display area will be covered with light, which cannot highlight the exhibits;
2.Control the glare well. When the light source is far from the exhibits, scattered light can easily enter the audience's field of vision, causing glare;
3.Use low-reflectivity glass to avoid mirror reflection glare.
Once these issues are well resolved, the entire space will look very beautiful!
Furthermore, some display cabinets place exhibit items on transparent shelves. With the use of low-reflective glass and external lighting at small angles, the exhibits appear to be suspended in mid-air, creating a unique and extraordinary effect!
